OPERATIONAL SAFETY ASSURANCE
The MDS-20 prevents accidental shutdown of both sensors. Operator awareness is maintained through a continuous 'heartbeat' signal during operation. Built-In-Test equipment monitors and confirms detector functionality.
COMPACT AND RUGGED BUILD
Extremely lightweight and compact detector designed to minimise operator fatigue. Weighs only 2.9 (6.4 lbs), built for mobility and sustained field performance with a MIL-STD-810H build. As the smallest dual sensor detector, the MDS-20 measures only 47 × 20 × 16 cm to fit in a pack and carry anywhere.

CONTINUOUS REAL-TIME DETECTION DISPLAY

The integrated pause function allows operators to stop and interrogate potential targets, reducing false positives and improving threat confirmation. MDS-20 is the safest dual sensor detector, combining Minelab's best-in-class metal detection with ground penetrating radar for unmatched accuracy.
LITHIUM-ION BATTERY
A 6.8 Ah lithium-ion rechargeable battery, compatible with PRC-152 radio systems, delivers up to seven hours of operational runtime. An included AA battery pack provides backup power during extended missions or remote operations.

Variable Metal Detection and Ground Penetrating Radar Sensitivity with volume control. Real-time detection display with pause function for closer target analysis.
